OUTSTANDING. Great location with a really welcoming set of staff. Quickly seated and order for drinks taken whilst we perused the menu. Extensive. What a wonderful delightful selection. All you could possibly wish for. Invitation to watch the chef at work from behind glass of the open kitchen. Great. The starters were plentiful and a really wide selection. We chose the hot as well as the cold platter. Really well prepared and well presented. Main courses were timed so we were clearing starters as the main course arrived. And what a delight they were. Plenty of cross plate sharing went on. Beautifully cooked with sauce/glaze that enhanced every mouthful. Chops were succulent and tender, chicken was better than just' chicken. Rice was good and salad probably just too much to deal with so don't complain things were not generous. The atmosphere in the whole restaurant for the whole evening reflected the effort put in by the owner and his team. Really excellent, relaxed and jolly. I wholly recommend this place for an evening with family or friends for a really great evening out. Well done to all at the restaurant, you made a great event. Thank you. I almost guarantee a great lamb dish of whatever description there is on the menu. Chicken dishes are equally good and I defy anyone to find more succulent and tasty dinner anywhere. 28th Dec 23. Revisit as two couples. Superb service, superb appetizers, starters and main courses. I cannot recommend this location more highly. Chicken and lamb is just the best. Salad is crisp and the rice cooked to perfection. All round another fantastic dinner for all of us. Well done staff. Consistency at this high standard is rare

The first time in Meddy Grill & Meze, and it was because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. They truly live up to the comments. We went to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. The service is excellent, very helpful and attentive to ensure nothing is lacking and everything is good. The food is fresh and very well seasoned, delicious. Generous portions and all at a reasonable price. 100% recommended 👌

Delicious food and great service! Aubergine, Chef’s selection and Baklava, everything was spot on! One of the best meal we’ve had for a long time. Their Turkish red wine was also really good!! We would highly recommend! And we are definitely going back :)

Arrived for an early reservation with a group of 8. The team were extremely eager to serve, albeit to the point where having one server take drinks and another simultaneously take food orders at either side of the table created some confusion. Regardless, intentions were good, and the restaurant filled up very quickly with weekend guests, demonstrating it's popularity. Coming from London, I can say the mixed grill rivals those situated in London's Green Lanes, where you'll find the best and most authentic Turkish food. The Lamb Chops are a highlight you won't want to miss.

Truly fantastic food! Full of flavour and amazing variety on offer. Charcoal grilled meat and veg, fresh ingredients and lovely staff. Super clean and a wonderful restaurant. Will be back, with friends!

Welcoming staff, classy decor and the food, the food is awesome. This place isn't good for Newton Abbot, it's good full stop. City quality in town should be celebrated and supported.

If I can give 10 stars I would! I just want to thank Meddy Grill & Meze for everything! As Soon as I entered the restaurant with my family the owner was so helpful and so kind and most importantly he had a smile on his face. We ordered 2 mixed grill and chips and it came with complimentary bread and it’s one of the best meal I’ve ever had! I am definitely going back next month!
